29th, 40th & 50th Celebrations…..

This week has been a busy one and it all seems to be related to just one thing…… numbers!!!

On June 23rd, Trinity Centre hosted George Verwer for a celebration of 50 yrs in ministry.  We also invited many to join us in the same event as our team has reached 29 yrs in London!!  ( I told ya…. it’s a lot of numbers).  The event went well, we had a good turn out and a wonderful time listening to George.

We found that the event took a lot of preperation and energy but as you would all assume it was worth it.

As many of you will have noticed…. i missed a number!!  We also on the day had the privilage of sharing with Randy & Margie (Aaron’s parents) the celebration of their 40th anniversary.  (actually on the 24th….. but since we were all there and dressed up!!)

Thanks to all of you who prayed for these events!

SouthCrest Church

Imagine…. it has already been a week since the SouthCrest workgroup left and I am just now writting about it.

SouthCrest sent a workgroup over to work with Aaron for the second time (also last June).  The group was only 4 but a great encouragment, and good workers too!  We had a good week between jobs and fun.  They were working on decorating the new classrooms in the Trinity Centre.  It is amazing to see how far the class rooms have come along, they will be usable in a very short time.

So…… a big Thank You to Ross, Sherri, Dan & John for joining us!!!  Your great, and we really appreciated you giving your time to work with us.

Pray for the Morissons

Can you imagine the joy of finding God has gifted you with the privilage of having 6 amazing little ones.  I can only imagine this was an amazing yet fearfull time for them.  Ryan, Brianna and there sextuplits have been on many website, blogs and newspapers we have heard of their joy at the delivery of all 6 safely (June 10th), we have heard the heartbreaking news on Wednesday, Thursday then Saturday as they lost 3 of those 6 precious miracles, the remaining three are in critical condition.

Please pray for the Morrisons and their family as they walk through this difficult sittuation.  We are praying that God will grant them the understanding to deal with this heartbreaking situation, and for the safety of the remaining 3 little ones.

Please also pray for Bethany Fellowship as they are highly involved with the spiritual, emotional and practical support of this family.

The little ones are getting bigger….!!

Well, it seems like the kids are still growing at a rapid pace.  Caleb is now 8 1/2 yrs, Eden 6 yrs and Nathan 4 1/2 yrs.  They are all developing well and as expected.  Caleb is excelling at school and has been added to the Talented and Gifted register (a british term, that seems to mean high honors).  Eden’s teacher has informed me that she loves working with Eden in the class but feels that Eden thinks her teaching time is an intrusion on her social time.  I found that amusing but very true.  Nathan is enjoying being in Nursery (kindergarden) but now finding the time a bit boring and looking forward to moving to reception and full days.

Jessica Margie Elizabeth Lawler

Dear Friends,

It is hard to imagine that we have just passed the second anniversary of the birth & death of our 4th child Jessica (June 11 & 12).  It is a hard time but softened by the prayers, calls and cards of so many of you.  Although we will not have the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for remembering us in your prayers, please know that they are all greatly appreciated.

Le Maison et jardin du Claude Monet

WOW!!! you can not even imagine how beautiful this is. We had a wonderful day visiting Giverny. This is the area were Claude Monet lived and painted. Due to his presence and the notice of his work a colony of american artiste’s developed. The coloney consists mainly of trained artists but 90% of them quickly moved to the impresionist style.

Claude Monet was noted to have commented on the fact that there were too many people coming into Giverny and his desire to paint there was not so strong anymore.

His house and garden are completely maintained and available for tourists to visit. The village also supports a museum of american artists who were part of the colony.

(you will find some great photo’s in the photo area of our visit)

A week in France

Hey Everyone,

Well, i am currently enjoying a week in France. I had been offered this great treat to come with a friend to a week just outside of Paris…. ohhhh… what fun.

We have done Euro-Disney, that was lots of fun and you will see lots of photo’s on the photo page. I can’t believe it took me untill i am 32 to get to such a fun place….. highly recomended.

We have also spent a day at Chateau de Versaille which is absolutly wonderful. This is the place where Marie Antionette lived until she was captured by the parisians and beheaded. It has beautiful gardens maintained immaculately and the inside has been restored so beautifully. We noted on many of the pieces of furniture that they were actually returned from the Louvre when the chateau was re-opened for tourism many years ago.

Today we are off to Giverney where Monet created most of his masterpieces and the gardens are apparently maintained to the same perfection we see in his original works.

I will stop writing now and run off to have more fun……

We look forward to hearing from you soon,

Blessings,

Eileen
