First week at a new school!!

Well, this week found a lot of new routines……

Caleb has started at Christ Church CE Junior School.  He is in year 4 and he says that the kids are nice and the teacher is kind so has enjoyed his first week.  He seems to also be very excited that he gets to wear a tie and blazar each day.

Nathan and Eden are both in St Saviors CE Infant School.  It is only a couple of minutes away from Caleb’s school and they both started their week knowing people that were in there classes so that has made for a real easy transition.

We are really pleased to have the kids at the new school and are very excited to see what will happen in their time at the school.  We have had the opportunity to meet each of the teachers and are impressed with how caring and informative they each are.

We have also chosen to bike to school each day which means 40 minutes each way (twice for Eileen as she doesn’t stay at school).  We figure it is good excercise and cheaper then the car and parking.  We have done it all week and really enjoyed it… actually surprised to find how much easier some things are without a car.

We will post some new picks of the kids in their new uniforms on the website soon. ( We are having a bit of trouble with that side of the program so please be patient with us).

New Schools PTL!!!

Well, this week all of the kinds in our area (and most of the UK) have the week off of school.  This is great because to be honest with you, i am just tired of taking them to school and they are tired of going so a week off is just perfect!!!

When we return after our week off the kids will be starting with new schools.  Caleb will be attending Christ Church C of E junior school and Eden & Nathan will both be joining St.Saviors C of E infant school.  Oh…  for those who don’t know C of E is Church of England.   We are really excited for them as they are also and feel that this move is a great opportunity for them.

Please pray for all three of them that they can adjust quickly into their new classes, we are already thankfull that each of them already knows people in the class so they are not going in blind!!

Week ending Feb 9th

Well, this week has seemed like a long one…. Caleb was home for more then half of the week with a very severe ear infection.  It started on the weekend and i took him to the doctors on monday morning but, the Dr believed that it was only ear wax.  When he was up most of the night again with the pain we took him into the emergency room and yep you guessed it… he had a well established ear infection!!  Thankfully he is feeling much better and the antibiotics have worked a treat again!!

We have all been busy and are glad to see that this next week does look easier!!

Caleb is unwell….

Hey Everyone,

Well, this week has been a long one so far as Caleb has come down with a pretty bad earache…. as i am sure all of you who have children know, they always come on late Friday night when all the Dr’s are gone for the weekend.  We kept him all dosed with medicine and waiting till Monday morning and took him to the local GP’s and were shocked to hear it was only a bit of wax.  That night he was again up all night with pain and a fever so we decided to take him the the hospital to have someone look at him.  They quickly decided it was an ear infection and even let Aaron see it (not a pretty picture first thing in the morning).  So we now have medicine and are hoping to get back to a normal nights sleep tonight!!!  and maybe even get him back to school tomorrow!!!

Blessings
