 Congratulations Daniel & Hannah!!!

and life goes on….

So… some how it again seems like we have taken some time getting on here and letting you know how we are doing….. Life just seems to keep going on, and on, and on…. ok i think you get the picture… so no excuse, just an “i’m sorry, we will try to do better”   so… here is a long awaited update.

Aaron still manages to keep himself pretty busy, work keeps most of his time full and of course church and family seem to fill the rest…. busy, just the way he likes it.  Last Saturday our busy summer program’s have started and life is moving quickly ahead.  The building project has progressed well this year but, will now have to wait untill the fall.

Eileen keeps pretty busy with the general things of life, taking the kids to school, womens bible study, working… you get the picture.  All the kids are now in full time school which does allow more freedom in the daily schedule… always room for a coffee it seems!

Caleb is still really enjoying his new school.  He is feeling very settled and growing well with all he is learning.  He still enjoys reading, lego and football (both British and American).

Eden is now 7!!  She has just had her birthday and is pleased to no longer be 6!!!  Eden enjoys school but, more for the social side then for the acadmics.  Eden’s favorite passtime is crafts…. or atleast anything to do with paper…. (i now know why my mother didn’t appreciate it when i cut up and drew all over things to make some new thing!!!)

Nathan is very energetic and loves everything in life… i think the only thing he really tries to avoid is sleeping!!  Thankfully he knows that isn’t an option.  Nathan does well at school but, really likes to get his work done quickly so he can go and play with his friends!!  He is already making plans for his birthday….. we think he doesn’t really understand how far away October is!!

This summer we will be heading home for sick weeks!!!  We are very excited to see all of you and catch up with what has been happening in all of your lives.  We will post our itinerary up so you can keep up to date on where to find us and hopefully we will be able to catch up with many of you.  but, first before we can start are busy summer of travelling around Canada and the USA we find oursleves needing to head off to France…… aren’t we lucky!!!  We will spend a weekend in France for Joy & Francois’ Wedding!!  (Joy is Aaron’s younger sister)  The wedding is moving quickly forward and we are all looking forward to it!!  Joy will of course be a beautiful bride (and not only because of her dress… but, because of the person she is), the weather i am sure will be lovely and it looks like all of her siblings will make it over and really… i don’t think that has happened since October 2003 when we were all together for Luke and Andrea’s wedding!!

Well, i am sure there are many more things we could share but, this seems to have gotten very long so i will try to write more in a few days… don’t forget to keep checking!!!

Sunshine!!

Well, we have now had more then a week of SUNNY weather!!  We are all enjoying it and it really makes the difference when riding the bikes!!

We are all doing well, and managing to keep busy.  Aaron finds work keeps him busy but as he enjoy’s it so much he doesn’t mind.  The kids and I all find ways to occupy our time and sometimes it is hard to decide where is the right place to focus our efforts….. this week has not been hard, as long as everything is done in the park!! (if only life really worked that way!)

The Lady Elizabeth

This evening i had the wonderful opportunity of escape off to Hampton Court Palace to hear the historian Alison Weir speak on her new (historically based) novel call The Lady Elizabeth.  She was actually very captivating, the book is written from the point of queen Elizabeth being a child and the issues she deals with as she grows up.  It sounded very interesting, i think you should all run to your local library and request a copy.

Spring Holidays

As April has quickly approached and is flying by we are in the middle of the spring school break.  The kids get two weeks off, we are now in the middle of the second week.  They are all really enjoying having time to go to the park, play in their room and generally relax.  This school break always come at a much needed time.

Life is keeping us all pretty busy,  Aaron has had to work through the kids holidays, He will be away for the whole summer so can’t really take extra days.   We have booked our flights and will be spending our summer (5 weeks) in Canada and the USA.  We are excited, it is always great to go back and visit family and friends. We will be contacting some of you about visiting as we drive around in the nearish future.

Aaron’s work is going well and we are looking forward to some new helpers arriving soon… actually one arrives tomorrow and another next week.  Please keep all of the guys and their safety in your prayers as they do the building works.

Oh…… it’s time to run as the kids are needing some attention… another fun aspect of the school holidays.

Easter in the Snow??!!!!

Well, i am sure you can imagine the shock as Easter weekend got colder and colder and we ended up waking up on Monday morning with Snow actually falling….!  Not a normal sight in the UK, or atleast in London.  Unfortunatly it was melting as fast as it was falling so although we were able to appreciate the show we didn’t get to play in it.

We also took the time over easter to watch The Passion of the Christ…. wow!!!  what a movie.  It was hard to watch and see the grusome detailing of the events.  It made us appreciate even more all that Christ has done for us.   We hope you found time over the Easter weekend to remember what it is all about….. in between chocolate easter eggs!

Passover

This week we had the chance to celebrater passover with our home group.  Once of the couple’s in the group led us through the wonderful experience.  It was a wonderful time to worship, pray and remember all that the season holds!

This experience has also made me more aware of the many Jews who are still waiting for the Messiah!  I pray over this Easter season that there eye’s will be opened to the wonderful gift we have already recieved!
